Types of Eye Surgery

Each type of eye surgery has pros and cons. Our staff at Patterson Eye Associates takes the time to understand your eye care needs in order to ensure you get the best type of care.

Cataract surgery is a quick, painless surgery to remove a cloudy lens that’s causing vision issues.

Things may look blurry right after your surgery, but this is normal. Your vision will gradually improve over the next few days/weeks.

LASIK is a procedure that permanently changes the shape of the cornea, the clear covering of the front of the eye, using an excimer laser.

Not every patient is a candidate, call or schedule with our doctor if you have interest in lasik or questions.

Cross linking is a minimally invasive procedure that uses ultraviolet light and eye drops in order to strengthen the collagen fibers in the cornea.

This type of surgery strengthens and reinforces the cornea.

A cornea transplant is an operation to remove all or part of a damaged cornea and replace it with healthy donor tissue.

It can be used to improve sight, relieve pain and treat severe infection or damage
